From the Sportsmen’s Alliance
Earlier this week, the North Carolina House Commerce and Economic Development Committee reported favorably on House Bill 38, an important bill to protect sportsmen’s credit card privacy rights. It has been referred to House Judiciary I Committee. We will continue to monitor HB 38 and will alert you when the next call-to-action is needed.
As previously reported, gun-control extremists are using every possible avenue to disarm law-abiding sportsmen and gun owners, including how to uncover personal identifying information on who owns firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition in America. The passage of HB 38 in the Tar Heel State would stop this from happening.
HB 38 prohibits a financial institution or an agent of a financial institution from using a firearms code in a way that distinguishes a firearms dealer physically located in this state from a general merchandise retailer or a sporting goods retailer located in the state.
There has never been a more important time in sportsmen’s history than now to be involved and engaged in protecting our way of life. Don’t forget to share this email with your family, friends, fellow sportsmen and gun owners. Ask them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in the fight to ensure our rights, values, and heritage are secured today and for future generations.
