NFIB Endorses 76 Candidates for the North Carolina General Assembly

The National of Federation of Independent Business North Carolina PAC has endorsed 76 candidates for seats in the state General Assembly. The political action committee, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members, endorsed 27 candidates running for state Senate and 49 running for seats in the House of Representatives.

“It’s important for North Carolina to elect the candidates who will support its small businesses,” NFIB State Director Gregg Thompson said. “Small business is the foundation of our economy. When our elected leaders support legislation that helps small businesses, they empower entrepreneurs to create jobs and strengthen their communities.”

Election Day is Nov. 5. In-person absentee voting is Oct. 17-Nov. 2. The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot is Oct. 29.

The NFIB North Carolina PAC’s endorsements are important to these campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on key small-business issues.
