North Carolina Dominates Two New Ratings

The US News and World Report released a new report analyzing search data for the most popular places Americans moved to in 2025, with North Carolina being the fourth most popular state.

The report also looked at the most popular counties and cities across the country, with Brunswick County as the most desirable county and Catawba County and Gaston County also featuring in the top 10. Overall, 11 of the top 50 most popular counties are in North Carolina. Nine cities from across North Carolina also are featured in the top 50 most desirable cities, with the town of Apex leading the way at 10th overall nationally.

Last week Commercial Cafe published a report tracking the best metropolitan areas with more than 200,000 people across the southern United States for the tech industry. Raleigh was the third highest rated overall, with Durham, Charlotte, and Wilmington also in the top 20.

The forward-thinking conservative House majority has championed policies that have directly led to these strong ratings in recent months. Fiscally responsible budgeting, prudent tax reforms, and a friendly business environment have kept North Carolina positioned to thrive.
